Equipped with fully validatable controls and sanitary construction, the CBS-DM™ has been specially designed for heat sealing sterile products. Special attention has been given to enhancing performance and dramatically reducing maintenance and product change over times. The CBS-DM™ can be configured for horizontal or vertical operation to best suit your packaging needs.

  • Single Point Gap Adjustment - Heating and cooling bars are mounted to a special indexing plate to allow spacing of the bars from one central point. This eliminates the need to adjust each bar individually, saving time and providing precision adjustments.
  • Bag Top Control - Full length 1/2" wide neoprene timing belt securely grips bag top and provides positive timing and speed control.
  • Glass Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Sealing Bands - Provides better seals on gussetted bags and a dramatic reduction in machine maintenance and heating and cooling bar wear.
  • AC Frequency Variable Speed Drive - Machine speed can be set from the operator panel with no belts or pulleys to adjust. A speed readout provides the operator with visual speed verification. Speeds are electronically monitored, any deviations will result in an alarm condition.
  • Quick Change Sealing Section - The entire sealing section can be removed in a matter of minutes for servicing or replacement, downtime is virtually eliminated.
  • Advanced Temperature Control - Four digital temperature controls are provided for precision control of each of the four heater bars. Thermocouples are imbedded within the heater cartridge to provide the most accurate method of sensing bar temperature. Temperature is electronically monitored to sense any deviations from set points.
  • Main Frame - Main Frame components are constructed from stainless steel and aluminum plate. The floor stand is a tubular stainless steel welded unit with hand crank vertical height adjustment. Guards are stainless sheet metal and Lexan™. Like previous models, the CBS-DM™ is built to last.
  • Heating and Cooling Bars - Both the heating and cooling bars have a super hard (60 Rockwell™) surface treatment that virtually eliminates wear. Both heating and cooling bars are pneumatically controlled to provide consistent pressure. Air pressure is electronically monitored to assure operation within specified parameters. Air cooling is standard with water cooling available for heavy gauge materials.
  • Quick Change Band Replacement - The CBS-DM™ has been designed to provide rapid band changes, with no tools required. Bands can be replaced in under four minutes!
  • Meeting Industry Needs - All machines are fully validatable and specifically designed for cleanroom environments. All alarms and deviation from established parameters are PLC controlled to provide accuracy, dependability and repeatability.
